Does a tango pair always have to be a man and a woman?

Absolutely not! Tango is communication between two people, and our goal is to help you to move freely to tango music. In old Buenos Aires, men learned to dance with men, and they practiced with each other before they met the women at milongas. Popular culture has placed a gender-conservative stamp on tango that we wish could be washed away from the true nature of the dance. Don’t assume that two men embracing each other on a tango floor also frequents leather bars in Berlin. Perhaps they do. Perhaps they don’t. Who cares? We try our best to create a relaxed atmosphere where all feel welcome.
