Isn’t it uncomfortable to dance so closely with people you do not know, or even perhaps with someone you don’t like?

There is a very strict social code for what one is allowed to do on a tango dance floor and violations are very rare. In our classes students will develop a technique that allows them great freedom and many opportunities to dance with all sorts of people. It also allows you to dance comfortably with just your one partner if that’s what you choose. Strangely enough, it can be quite incredible to dance with people you don’t like off the dance floor. Mysteriously, when it comes to tango you’re unlikely to find many people you “don’t like”. Above all, we teach that every dancer’s primary task (this applies especially to men) is to make their partner feel good.
